Birdie. started with a fairly simple idea: golf has its own culture, its own rituals, but no drink that actually belongs to it. Everyone was reaching for the same, boring lagers you'd find anywhere else.
I started using bench top tests to see if I could do something about that. After a few rounds of experimenting with different flavourings, ginger was the one that stuck — crisp, distinct, and different enough from a standard session lager to actually stand for something. That's where "One Better Than The Rest." comes from — not a slogan I chose, but the standard I want to hit.
My name is James, I run Birdie. on my own, alongside studying — from the recipe to the label to the website you're reading now. It's a small operation, but that means more care goes into it than a bigger brand would ever put in.
Birdie. uses partners only within the UK, making it a 100% British product, with natural ginger flavouring added after fermentation, and kept to a crisp 4% so it's easy to drink after a round, not something that gets in the way of the next one.
